Canary Islands beach by beach

Choose an island

Choose an island to see its beaches, natural pools and swimming areas. Weather, sea, tide, webcams, flag and occupancy.

Important: NÁYADE data comes from the available official health register. Unlisted natural pools or beaches appear without health data. Natural pools also depend on tide and swell. Always check sea conditions before bathing and avoid visiting with strong high tide, groundswell or coastal warnings.

Tides and sea conditions

Official tide, swell and sea-level information

Canal Playa will not copy private tide tables. Integration will use official sources, starting with Portus / Puertos del Estado and AEMET for maritime forecasts.

Maritime forecast

AEMET · Costa de Canarias

Official reference for warnings, coastal forecasts and maritime weather. Canal Playa links to this source and does not replace instructions from authorities or lifeguards.

  • Coastal warnings and maritime weather.
  • Forecast by coastal areas.
  • Recommended check before bathing or sailing.

Official integration

Swell and wind · official sources

Old direct links for Tenerife and Las Palmas are removed because Puertos del Estado reports that this simplified service has been discontinued. Canal Playa keeps only current, traceable official links.

Recommended official checkPortus / Puertos del Estado · AEMET maritime Canary Islands

Canal Playa does not display discontinued tables or unverified data. The next phase will integrate structured data only if a stable official source exists.

  • Portus centralises the updated official oceanographic query.
  • AEMET maintains maritime forecasts and coastal warnings for the Canary Islands.
  • Private data is not copied or presented as our own.
Notice: tides, swell and sea conditions change quickly. Always check signage, lifeguards and official sources before bathing.

Own system to recognise beaches, natural pools and bathing areas with a favourable history. It does not replace official flags, lifeguard services, Blue Flag or municipal warnings.

Canal Playa’s top distinction for bathing areas with 5 consecutive years without verified serious incidents, standing out for water quality, services and surroundings.

Silver Beach emblem

Bronze Beach emblem

Bronze Beach

First level of the Canal Playa system for bathing areas with 1 year without verified serious incidents and favourable performance in water quality, services and surroundings.

How it works: these distinctions are Canal Playa’s own classification. They are based on incident history, water quality, safety, services and environmental conservation. They do not replace official flags or municipal/health warnings.

Evaluation criteria

  • Health closures or bathing bans.
  • Registered serious safety incidents.
  • Relevant pollution episodes.
  • Coastal warnings or recurring unmanaged risks.
  • Available and verifiable official data.

Current status

The ranking is prepared to store the annual history. For now, beaches appear as pending verification until seasonal official data is incorporated.
